A week of posts, prepared for you
Give the dot your weekly goal and it prepares the designs and captions in Adly for you to review.
Adly and ChatGPT dots
Dots are OpenAI’s always-on agents inside ChatGPT. They keep working toward a goal while you are away, and they use the plugins on your account. Install the Adly plugin and your dot can create designs and videos on your brand, write the captions and schedule the posts.
Adly for ChatGPT: Launch plan and up · Dots need ChatGPT Pro or Business Premium
OpenAI launched dots on 29 September 2026 at its DevDay event. A dot is an always-on agent that lives in ChatGPT and has its own cloud computer and browser. You give it a goal, connect the apps it needs and set what it may do on its own. It keeps working between conversations and brings results back for you to review. You can message it in ChatGPT, Slack or Microsoft Teams.
Dots reach other products through ChatGPT plugins. OpenAI’s documentation says a dot can use the supported plugins that are installed and enabled on your account, with the connected accounts and permissions those plugins already have. There is nothing separate to build for dots: a product that works as a ChatGPT plugin is a product a dot can use.
Adly is in the ChatGPT plugin directory. Install it once, and both ChatGPT and your dot can create and publish through your Adly account. The steps are in post from ChatGPT.
Give the dot your weekly goal and it prepares the designs and captions in Adly for you to review.
Offer posts, product ads and general designs, built on your logo, colors and contact details.
Tips carousels, designs around a product photo, UGC-style videos and image-to-video.
Adly writes the headline, body and call to action, or uses your own caption when you want your exact words.
Approved posts are scheduled to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X.
The dot reports back in ChatGPT, Slack or Microsoft Teams, so you approve without opening another app.
Create your Adly account, add your logo, colors and contact details, and connect your social accounts under Profile, then Integrations.
On an eligible ChatGPT plan, create a dot in the ChatGPT desktop app or in ChatGPT on the web. After setup you can use it from the mobile app too.
Open Adly in the ChatGPT plugin directory, install it and sign in with your Adly account. Your dot uses the same plugin with the same permissions.
Let it create and prepare freely, and keep publishing on approval until you trust the results.
For example: every Sunday prepare three posts for the week, show me the designs, and schedule the ones I approve.
A dot does not get integrations of its own. It uses the plugins installed on your ChatGPT account, with the accounts and permissions you already connected. Reading is one thing and acting is another: a write action, such as scheduling a post, needs the plugin to be allowed to do it, and you decide what the dot may do without asking.
With Adly installed, the dot follows the same steps ChatGPT does: pick the brand, create the design or video, show it to you, then publish or schedule after approval.
Dots are one of several always-on agents that arrived in 2026. Meta’s Muse lives in its own app and in WhatsApp, and is available in the US and Canada. xAI’s Grok Bot runs on its own cloud computer too. Adly connects to each agent in the way that agent supports. The full list is on Adly for AI agents.
Adly publishes to five networks:

Dots are always-on agents that OpenAI launched in ChatGPT on 29 September 2026. Each dot has its own cloud computer and browser, works toward a goal you give it, uses the plugins on your account and brings results back for review.
ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium, plus Enterprise workspaces where an admin enables the beta. OpenAI says the first dot is included in Pro and Business Premium at no extra cost.
OpenAI’s documentation excludes the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland from the Pro rollout and says access is rolling out gradually. It does not exclude Arab countries, so check your own ChatGPT account.
Yes. Install the Adly plugin in ChatGPT and sign in with your Adly account. Your dot uses the same plugin with the same permissions.
No. OpenAI’s documentation says a dot uses the supported plugins installed and enabled on your account, so the Adly plugin for ChatGPT is also the way a dot reaches Adly.
You set what a dot may do on its own, and write actions need permission. Adly also tells connected agents to confirm the networks, the caption and the time with you before posting.
Adly for ChatGPT works from the Launch plan ($29/month) and up. Dots themselves need ChatGPT Pro or Business Premium, which is a separate subscription with OpenAI.
Yes. Adly creates designs and ad copy in Arabic or English, and your dot can ask for either.
Creating designs and videos counts toward the same usage limit as the Adly app. Publishing and scheduling are included in your plan and do not count toward it.
Both are always-on agents with their own cloud computer. Dots come from OpenAI, live in ChatGPT and use ChatGPT plugins. Muse comes from Meta, lives in its own app and in WhatsApp, and is available in the US and Canada only.
