What Claude Cowork is, and where Adly fits
Claude Cowork is Anthropic’s way to hand Claude a whole task instead of a single question. Anthropic describes it as the place where you start a task at your desk, check in on it from your phone, and get finished work back for review. It runs on the web, in Claude Desktop and in the mobile apps on paid Claude plans, and it can run scheduled tasks daily, weekly or monthly with no device online.
Cowork uses the same connectors as the rest of Claude. Anthropic’s help center says custom connectors over remote MCP are available on Claude, Cowork and Claude Desktop. So once Adly is connected to your Claude account, Cowork can use it too.
That pairing suits a small marketing team: Cowork keeps the routine going, and Adly does the creative work on your brand, from the design to the published post.
What Cowork can do once Adly is connected
Designs on your brand
Offer posts, product ads and general designs, built on your logo, colors and contact details.
Carousels and videos
Tips carousels, designs around a product photo, UGC-style videos, image-to-video and product studio videos.
Copy in Arabic or English
Adly writes the headline, body and call to action. Cowork can pass your own caption instead when you want your exact words.
Approve on the go
Open the task from your phone, look at each design and approve it or ask for a change.
Publish now or schedule
Send approved posts to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X now or at a set time.

Be on Solo or higher

Request MCP access
In Adly, open Profile, then Adly MCP, and tap Request MCP access. The Adly team reviews each request, usually within a few hours.

Generate a key
Once approved, go back to the same screen, choose a default brand and generate an MCP key. Copy it right away, it is shown only once.

Add Adly as a custom connector
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add, then Add custom connector. Paste the connector fields Adly gives you, keep the URL exactly as shown and leave the OAuth fields empty.

Connect your social accounts
In Adly, open Profile, then Integrations, and connect the Facebook Page, Instagram account, TikTok account, LinkedIn profile and X account for each brand.

Give Cowork the task
Start with one post. When you like the result, turn it into a scheduled task that runs every week.
Tasks to hand Cowork
- Every Sunday at 9 am, plan three posts for the week, create them in Adly and leave the designs for my review
- Read this month’s offers in the attached file and make one Adly design for each offer
- Create a tips carousel in Arabic about caring for leather bags
- Make a short UGC-style video for our new vitamin C serum
- On the first day of each month, create an offer post for our monthly discount and schedule it after I approve
- Every Friday, list what is scheduled in Adly for next week and tell me which days have no post
- Approve the design and schedule it for Sunday at 7 pm on Instagram and LinkedIn
- Switch to my second brand and make a Ramadan offer design for it
What happens when Cowork calls Adly
Cowork follows the same steps you would follow in the Adly app:
- Pick the brand. It searches your brands and selects the one you mean.
- Create a job. A design, a tips carousel, a design around a product photo or a video.
- Wait for it. Designs take a short while and videos take longer. The agent checks the job until the result is ready, then shows it to you.
- Approve the design. Or ask for an edit in plain words. After approval Adly writes the ad copy.
- Approve the copy and publish. Post now or schedule for later, on the networks you choose.
Every job also appears in the Adly app, so you can step in there at any point.
Why a scheduled task can still reach Adly
Adly is a remote connector. Anthropic’s help center explains that Claude reaches a custom connector from Anthropic’s cloud, not from your computer. Cowork’s scheduled tasks also run with no device online. Together that means a weekly content task does not depend on your laptop being open.
Keep one rule in the task itself: prepare and show, then wait. Let Cowork create the designs on schedule, and publish only after you approve.
Cowork or a regular Claude chat?
Both use the same Adly connector, so you do not set anything up twice.
- A regular chat suits a single request: one post, one edit, one question about what is scheduled. The step by step guide is on post from Claude.
- Cowork suits longer jobs and repeating ones: a whole week of posts, a monthly offer, a Friday check of the calendar.
On Team and Enterprise plans
Anthropic limits who can add a custom connector in an organization. On Team plans only Owners and Primary Owners can add one. Once it is added, each member connects to it and enables it for themselves.
Where Adly can publish
Adly publishes to five networks:
- Facebook: the Facebook Page you connected. Posts, carousels, videos and Stories.
- Instagram: business or creator accounts. Posts, carousels, videos and Stories.
- TikTok: the TikTok account you connected. Video posts and photo posts. Stories are not supported on TikTok.
- LinkedIn: your connected personal profile. Posts with a design, video or images.
- X: the X account you connected, on Solo and up. Links are removed from posts to X.

Does the Adly connector work in Cowork?

Can Cowork create posts on a schedule?
Yes. Cowork has scheduled tasks that run daily, weekly or monthly. Ask it to prepare posts in Adly on that schedule and to wait for your approval before publishing.
Which Claude plan do I need?
Cowork is available on paid Claude plans. Custom connectors are available on every Claude plan, with a limit of one custom connector on Free.
Which Adly plan do I need?
Solo ($49/month) or Growth ($119/month). Adly MCP is part of both, and the Adly team approves each access request before you can generate a key. On the Launch plan you can use Adly inside ChatGPT instead.
Will Cowork publish without asking me?
Adly tells every connected agent to confirm the networks, the caption and the time with you before it posts. You can also let the agent create only, then approve and schedule yourself in the Adly app.
Which networks can it publish to?
Facebook Pages, Instagram business or creator accounts, TikTok accounts, LinkedIn personal profiles and X accounts. All five are included on Solo and Growth, the plans that include Adly MCP.
Does it count toward my Adly usage limit?
Creating designs and videos counts toward the same usage limit as the Adly app. Publishing and scheduling are included in your plan and do not count toward it.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. Adly creates designs and ad copy in Arabic or English, and Cowork can ask for either.
What if my key leaks?
Revoke it in Adly under Profile, then Adly MCP, and generate a new one. Treat the key like a password and never paste it into a public chat.
