Why Claude needs Adly to post
Claude is good at planning content and writing. On its own it cannot produce a branded ad design, render a video or post to your Instagram. A Claude social media manager needs hands, and Adly MCP gives it those hands.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how Claude talks to outside tools. Adly runs its own MCP server, connected to the same account, brands, usage limits and job workflow you use in the Adly web app. When Claude calls Adly, it creates real Adly jobs: designs built from your brand kit, carousels, videos and ad copy in Arabic or English.
Publishing and scheduling run through MCP too. Claude can check which accounts are connected, post a finished design right away, schedule it for later, list what is queued and cancel a post. Adly MCP is included on Solo ($49/month) and up.

Set up Adly MCP in Claude

Be on Solo or higher

Request MCP access
In Adly, open Profile, then Adly MCP, and tap Request MCP access. The Adly team reviews and approves each request.

Generate a key
Once approved, go back to the same screen, choose a default brand and generate an MCP key. Copy it right away, it is shown only once.

Add Adly as a connector in Claude
In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the fields Adly gives you, keep the URL exactly as shown and leave the OAuth fields empty.

Connect your social accounts
In Adly, open Profile, then Integrations, and connect the Facebook Page, Instagram account, TikTok account, LinkedIn profile and X account for each brand.

Start small: ask for one Instagram post and look at it. Then move on to full weeks of content.

How the Adly MCP workflow works
Claude follows the same steps you would follow in the Adly app. Knowing them helps you read what Claude is doing and step in when you want to.
- Create a job. Claude picks the brand and calls a create tool: a general design, a design from a product image, a tips carousel, a video and so on.
- Poll. Designs take a short while and videos take longer. Claude checks the job until the media is ready.
- Approve the design. Or ask for an edit in plain words, then poll again for the new version.
- Approve the copy. Adly writes the ad copy after the design is approved. Claude approves it, asks for changes, or replaces it with your caption.
- Publish. Claude publishes now or schedules the post to the networks you chose. A post sent now goes out within about a minute. A scheduled post goes out at its time.
Claude is instructed to confirm the networks, caption and time with you before it posts. If a design is already live on a network, Adly blocks a duplicate unless you ask for it.
Where Claude can post
Adly publishes to five networks:
- Facebook: the Facebook Page you connected. Posts, carousels, videos and Stories.
- Instagram: business or creator accounts. Posts, carousels, videos and Stories. Captions up to 2,200 characters.
- TikTok: the TikTok account you connected. Video posts and photo posts. No Stories.
- LinkedIn: your connected personal profile. Posts with a design, video or images. No Stories.
- X: the X account you connected. Posts with up to 4 images or a video. Captions are fitted to 280 characters, keeping up to 2 trailing hashtags, and links are removed (emails are kept). No Stories.

Habits of a good Claude social media manager
- Fill in the brand kit first. Logo, colors, contact details and brand knowledge photos are what make Adly designs look like your business.
- Give Claude your offers. Paste this month’s prices, new products and deadlines into the chat. Specific offers make better posts than general ones.
- Batch by the week. Ask for a week of posts in one go, review them together, then schedule them all.
- Review before you publish. Look at each design and caption. Claude asks, but you decide.
- Watch your usage limit. Each design and video counts toward your plan’s usage limit. Publishing and scheduling do not.

Claude and Adly MCP: questions and answers
Can Claude post to Instagram?
Not on its own. With Adly MCP connected, Claude asks Adly to publish, and Adly posts to the Instagram business or creator account linked to your brand.
Which plan do I need?
Solo ($49/month) or Growth ($119/month). Spark and Launch do not include Adly MCP. If you are on Launch, you can use Adly for ChatGPT instead.
Why does MCP access need approval?
Adly MCP is opt-in. The Adly team approves each request before you can generate a key.
Does it work in Claude Desktop?
Yes. Add Adly as a custom connector from Settings, then Connectors, in claude.ai or Claude Desktop.
Will Claude post without asking me?
Claude is instructed to confirm the networks, caption and time first. You can also review and approve every design before it is published.
Which networks are supported?
Facebook Pages, Instagram business or creator accounts, TikTok accounts, LinkedIn personal profiles and X accounts. All five are included on Solo and Growth, the plans that include Adly MCP.
Can Claude manage several brands?
Yes. Solo includes up to 5 brands and Growth up to 30. Each key has a default brand, and Claude can list your brands and switch between them.
Does it count toward my Adly usage limit?
Creating designs and videos counts toward the same usage limit as the Adly app. Publishing and scheduling are included in your plan and do not count toward it.
Can Claude write in Arabic?
Yes. Adly writes designs and ad copy in Arabic or English, and Claude can ask for either.
What if my key leaks?
Revoke it in Adly under Profile, then Adly MCP, and generate a new one. Treat the key like a password and never paste it into a public chat.
