What Gemini Spark is, and where Adly fits
Gemini Spark is Google’s agent inside the Gemini app. Google describes it as a 24/7 AI agent that takes action on your behalf, under your direction, and keeps working in the background even when your phone and laptop are off. It connects natively to Google apps such as Gmail, Calendar, Drive and Docs.
For everything outside Google, Spark has custom apps. You give Gemini the MCP server URL of a product, and that product’s tools become available to Spark and to Gemini chat. Adly runs an MCP server tied to your Adly account, your brands and your usage limit, so it can be added this way.
One limit to know first. Google currently restricts custom apps to people aged 18 or over in the US who sign in with a personal Google Account, with Keep Activity on, and in English only. If that is not you, the other routes on this page work today.
What Spark can do once Adly is added
Carousels and videos
Tips carousels, designs around a product photo, UGC-style videos, image-to-video and product studio videos.
Copy in Arabic or English
Adly writes the headline, body and call to action in the language you ask for, or uses your own caption.
Approve or ask for edits
Spark shows you each design. Approve it, or ask for a change in plain words and get a new version.
Publish now or schedule
Send a finished post to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X now or at a set time.
Background work
Spark keeps going while your devices are off. Ask for next week’s posts and review them when they are ready.

Be on Solo or higher

Request MCP access
In Adly, open Profile, then Adly MCP, and tap Request MCP access. The Adly team reviews each request, usually within a few hours.

Generate a key
Once approved, go back to the same screen, choose a default brand and generate an MCP key. Copy it right away, it is shown only once.

Open Connected Apps in Gemini
On a computer, open the Gemini web app, then Settings, then Connected Apps. Custom apps can only be added on the web. Once added, they also work in the Gemini mobile app.

Add Adly as a custom app
Choose to add a custom app and paste the connector URL from your Adly profile, the one that already carries your key. No separate sign-in is needed.

Connect your social accounts
In Adly, open Profile, then Integrations, and connect the Facebook Page, Instagram account, TikTok account, LinkedIn profile and X account for each brand.

Ask Spark
Start small: ask for one Instagram post and look at it. Then move on to full weeks of content.

What happens when Spark calls Adly
Spark follows the same steps you would follow in the Adly app:
- Pick the brand. It searches your brands and selects the one you mean.
- Create a job. A design, a tips carousel, a design around a product photo or a video.
- Wait for it. Designs take a short while and videos take longer. The agent checks the job until the result is ready, then shows it to you.
- Approve the design. Or ask for an edit in plain words. After approval Adly writes the ad copy.
- Approve the copy and publish. Post now or schedule for later, on the networks you choose.
Every job also appears in the Adly app, so you can step in there at any point.
Who can use Spark and custom apps
- Spark. Google offers Spark to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers over 18 in select countries, and to select business users.
- Custom apps. Google’s help page lists the conditions: be 18 or over and in the US, sign in with a personal Google Account, have Keep Activity on, and use English. Work and school accounts cannot add custom apps.
- Where you add them. Only in the Gemini web app. After that they are available on both web and mobile.
Google can change these conditions at any time, so check its help page before you start.
If custom apps are not available to you
Most of our readers are outside the US, so here is what works today without Spark:
- Claude with Adly MCP. The same tools, on Solo and up, with no country limit on the connector. See post from Claude and Claude Cowork.

- The Adly app. Create, approve and schedule directly, in Arabic or English.
Where Adly can publish
Adly publishes to five networks:
- Facebook: the Facebook Page you connected. Posts, carousels, videos and Stories.
- Instagram: business or creator accounts. Posts, carousels, videos and Stories.
- TikTok: the TikTok account you connected. Video posts and photo posts. Stories are not supported on TikTok.
- LinkedIn: your connected personal profile. Posts with a design, video or images.
- X: the X account you connected, on Solo and up. Links are removed from posts to X.

Good to know before you add Adly
- Your connector URL is a secret. It carries your key, so treat the whole URL like a password. If it leaks, revoke the key in Adly and generate a new one.
- Google does not vet custom apps. Google says it does not control, monitor or secure third-party MCP servers. Add only servers you trust. Adly’s server is run by Adly on getadly.com.

What is Gemini Spark?
Spark is Google’s agent inside the Gemini app. Google describes it as a 24/7 AI agent that takes action on your behalf, under your direction, and works in the background even when your devices are off.
Can Gemini Spark use Adly?
Spark can use custom apps, which are products added by their MCP server URL. Adly has an MCP server, so you add it with the connector URL from your Adly profile. Custom apps are currently limited to the US and to English.
Is this available in Arab countries?
Not yet for custom apps: Google limits them to people in the US. Spark itself is offered in select countries. From an Arab country you can use Adly with Claude through Adly MCP, or in the Adly app.
Which Adly plan do I need?
Solo ($49/month) or Growth ($119/month). Adly MCP is part of both, and the Adly team approves each access request before you can generate a key. On the Launch plan you can use Adly inside ChatGPT instead.
Will Spark publish without asking me?
Adly tells every connected agent to confirm the networks, the caption and the time with you before it posts. You can also let the agent create only, then approve and schedule yourself in the Adly app.
Does it work in Arabic?
Custom apps for Spark work in English only for now, so you talk to Spark in English. Adly still creates the design and the ad copy in Arabic when you ask for Arabic.
Which networks can it publish to?
Facebook Pages, Instagram business or creator accounts, TikTok accounts, LinkedIn personal profiles and X accounts. All five are included on Solo and Growth, the plans that include Adly MCP.
Does it count toward my Adly usage limit?
Creating designs and videos counts toward the same usage limit as the Adly app. Publishing and scheduling are included in your plan and do not count toward it.
What if my key leaks?
Revoke it in Adly under Profile, then Adly MCP, and generate a new one. Treat the key like a password and never paste it into a public chat.
