Adly MCP for Grok
Grok Bot is xAI’s agent with its own cloud computer. Add Adly as an MCP server and it can create designs and videos on your brand, write the captions, and publish or schedule them to X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
Solo plan and up · Connects with a URL and a key · Grok Bot is in beta
Grok Bot is xAI’s agent, currently in beta. It is a different product from the Grok chatbot on grok.com and X: it runs on a persistent cloud computer with a browser, files and a terminal, and it can reach other services through connectors and MCP servers. Grok Build is xAI’s command line agent, and it uses MCP servers too.
Grok can plan a campaign and write around what is happening on X. Adly is the marketing studio it can call for the rest: designs built on your logo, colors and contact details, tips carousels, product ads and short videos, ad copy in Arabic or English, and publishing to the accounts you connected.
Adly runs its own MCP server, tied to your Adly account, your brands and your usage limit. Grok connects to it with two things: the server URL and your Adly MCP key.
Offer posts, product ads and general designs, built on your logo, colors and contact details.
Tips carousels, designs around a product photo, UGC-style videos, image-to-video and product studio videos.
Adly writes the headline, body and call to action. Grok can pass your own caption instead when you want your exact words.
Post a finished design or video to your X account, now or on a schedule. X publishing is part of Solo and up.
The same post can go to your Facebook Page, Instagram account and LinkedIn profile.
List scheduled posts, move one to a new time, cancel one, and see what already went live.
Adly MCP is part of the Solo ($49/month) and Growth ($119/month) plans. New to Adly? Sign up and choose Solo.
In Adly, open Profile, then Adly MCP, and tap Request MCP access. The Adly team reviews each request, usually within a few hours.
Once approved, go back to the same screen, choose a default brand and generate an MCP key. Copy it right away, it is shown only once.
In Grok Bot, add a custom MCP server with the fields on this page. In Grok Build, run the command on this page.
In Adly, open Profile, then Integrations, and connect the Facebook Page, Instagram account, TikTok account, LinkedIn profile and X account for each brand.
Start small: ask for one Instagram post and look at it. Then move on to full weeks of content.
In Grok Bot’s settings, add a custom MCP server and enter these fields. Replace the placeholder with your own key.
Name: Adly URL: https://getadly.com/mcp Header: Authorization: Bearer YOUR_ADLY_MCP_KEY
The server must be reachable over the public internet, and Adly’s is. Nothing needs to run on your machine.
Grok Build is xAI’s command line agent. This adds Adly as a remote MCP server and reads your key from an environment variable.
export ADLY_MCP_KEY="paste your key here"
grok mcp add --transport http adly https://getadly.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer ${ADLY_MCP_KEY}"
Keep the key out of shared files and scripts. If it leaks, revoke it in Adly and generate a new one.
Grok follows the same steps you would follow in the Adly app:
Every job also appears in the Adly app, so you can step in there at any point.
xAI has three places where a connection can live, and they do not sign in the same way.
grok mcp add command accepts a remote server over HTTP with a header. That is the command on this page.Grok lives next to X, so X is usually the first place you want the post to go. Adly publishes to the X account you connected, on Solo and up: up to 4 images or a video, with the caption fitted to 280 characters. Links are removed from posts to X. The details are in the X scheduler guide.
Adly publishes to five networks:

No. Grok is the chatbot on grok.com and X. Grok Bot is a separate agent product, and Grok Build is xAI’s command line agent. All three can use MCP servers, but they sign in differently.
Yes. Adly publishes to the X account you connected to your brand, on Solo and up. Links are removed from posts to X.
Solo ($49/month) or Growth ($119/month). Adly MCP is part of both, and the Adly team approves each access request before you can generate a key. On the Launch plan you can use Adly inside ChatGPT instead.
Not yet. That page is built around OAuth sign-in, and Adly signs Grok in with a key. Use Grok Bot or Grok Build, which accept a key in a header.
Adly tells every connected agent to confirm the networks, the caption and the time with you before it posts. You can also let the agent create only, then approve and schedule yourself in the Adly app.
Facebook Pages, Instagram business or creator accounts, TikTok accounts, LinkedIn personal profiles and X accounts. All five are included on Solo and Growth, the plans that include Adly MCP.
Creating designs and videos counts toward the same usage limit as the Adly app. Publishing and scheduling are included in your plan and do not count toward it.
Yes. Adly creates designs and ad copy in Arabic or English, and Grok can ask for either.
Revoke it in Adly under Profile, then Adly MCP, and generate a new one. Treat the key like a password and never paste it into a public chat.
